Past, present and future
Simotrade Kft was established in Simontornya by private persons in 1992, and has become one of the most important luminaire manufacturers in Hungary in the past 30 years. We offer a wide range of products made with constantly and fast improving LED technology, based on current market trends. Our aim is to help protect the environment with our energy efficient and long-life luminaires, 50% of which are sold in the EU. We are proud to have the trust of our partners by supplying them with a warranty-based service, replaceable and modular accessories and to have the whole production process under our control: from design through metal works, to assembly.
At Simotrade Kft. we manufacture our products in modern, computer-controlled metal sheet processing centres, in several production halls of altogether 9000 m2 floor area, situated on a 3-hectar site. Our lighting fixtures and accessories are produced on bending/rolling machines and electrostatic power coating machines. Our manufacturing process is certified by ISO 9001:2015 quality control system. We are dedicated to protecting our environment by using renewable energy sources: nearly 40% of our electricity consumption is provided by our solar panels. We are proud to have acquired the ESG certificate earlier this year.
Simotrade Kft., originally founded as a family business and well known in Hungarian and European lighting markets, has very recently undergone a change of ownership. The new Hungarian owners specialised in lighting aim to strengthen the company’s corporate image and brand equity, and develop its product offering, whilst keeping Simotrade Kft.’s sovereignty. We will continue to supply existing and new Hungarian and foreign partners according to market expectations. We will keep on developing and producing our own product ranges, together with providing fast and cost-efficient solutions to our wholesalers in the industrial segment. During our journey of renewal, we strive to offer unique lighting schemes complying with individual demands within the project business, including smart and energy efficient systems (NFC, DALI).
The most modern machinery helps us achieve our goals: DURMA 1- 3kw laser cutters, flexing machines and SALVAGNINI P1 flexing machine for panels. We use the most up-to-date electronical components such as Tridonic, Osram, Vossloh, TCI, Wago, and the newest technological developments in optics (LEDIL) and lighting control systems. We guarantee the satisfaction of our partners thanks to our professional team, European quality manufacturing technology and our exceptional laboratory for light measurements.
